Year 1 Pip and Pap Workshop

Year 1 parents and pupils enjoyed a workshop together this afternoon, reading the story "Taz and the Cat" together!

Pupils read sentences in the story to their parents, such as "Flom and Min are out on a jog. Min looks up and spots a black cat."

"The cat has had a fright. It looks afraid. Min and Flom stand next to the oak tree," before answering some comprehension questions together.

In this story, Min and Flom find a missing cat! With the help of Taz, they take the cat to the vet to be scanned. They find out that the lost cat belongs to Nan!

Parents and children talked through what to do if you were to lose a pet whilst out and about, or if you found a lost animal.

Then, children and parents worked hard to create their own cats, using paper plates and craft materials. Aren't they great?

We run Pip and Pap parent and child workshops weekly in Years R-2 - all are welcome. Please ask your child's class teacher for more details!
