We are a Modeshift school!

We are sure you are aware that over the previous years we have been very active in encouraging two things. First, is that we encourage all children, if able to make good choices about the ways they are travelling to school. Second, we have been pushing hard to make Ramley road safer to cross. We know this is a concern for many parents and a reason which might stop you from walking to and from school.

In recognition for all the children's hard work, we have been recognised by Modeshift and have been nominated for a regional award. On Wednesday 8th October, we were invited to join a virtual award ceremony celebrating those select schools who have been actively helping to improve in this area. Year 4 as well as our 4 amazing year 6 JRSO officers, joined the ceremony to see if we won. There were 44 schools in attendance for the South east region. Unfortunately, we did not win on this occasion but the hard work of all children was recognised. This is an annual award ceremony so we will continue with hopes of winning this regional event next year.
