Mrs Rothwell - Gardener of the Year Competition

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our very own Mrs Rothwell has
reached the finals of the Royal Horticultural Society School Gardner of
the Year competition!

She has been shortlisted as one of just five finalists across the country, which is
an absolutely fabulous achievement. On Tuesday 25 April, we will be creating
a film in school to showcase Mrs Rothwell's gardening work, to send to the judging panel.

All five finalists have been asked to create a short video clip to show their work in action.
We would like to invite all children to take part in creating our video to showcase why
Mrs Rothwell should be crowned RHS School Gardening Champion of the Year!
Please can you ensure your child has wellies in school on this day as we will be
planting, watering and weeding as part of the video.

The video will then be sent to the RHS judging panel, which includes horticulturalist and TV presenter Frances Tophill; RHS Young Ambassador and Young School Gardener of the Year George Hassall; RHS School Gardening Champion of the Year and founder of The Papillon Project Matt Willer; and RHS Ambassador for young people and community gardening and founder of Grow2Know Tayshan Hayden-Smith.

I am sure you will agree that this is a wonderful achievement to make the national
final and we are ever so proud of Mrs Rothwell and her work!
