Zumba for Zambia

Miss Bellows from Superstar Sports hosted a series of special workshops today as part of our "Zumba for Zambia" initiative.

The children very much enjoyed the different dances and learning a range of "Zumba" moves!

All classes across the partnership are taking part in "Zumba for Zambia" to raise money for Eneless Patmos School in Lusaka. We are asking for a voluntary donation of £3 for the session, of which all proceeds will go towards purchasing musical instruments for the school. Many of the pupils at the community school are orphans taken in from the streets of Lusaka and the school relies on volunteers to operate.

Pupils in Y3, 4 and 5 at OLSJ have written  letters to the school, which are now on their way to Lusaka via airmail. Eneless Patmos School regularly send email updates and photographs to OLSJ, which has supported our pupils to learn more about Zambian culture.

We will announce the total raised from across the partnership in due course. Many thanks for your continued support.
