Year 1 learning blog

In maths we have been exploring multiplication and division. We have been recapping on our 2s, 5s and 10 times tables and a range of resources to help us in solving a range of different word problems.

Supertato needed our help! Supertato wanted to defeat Evil Pea once and for all and asked us to enter our own Super Veggies into a competition for his army! We created our own super veggies to enter into his competition. We are looking at how we can use superlatives and other exciting features to describe our super hero!

In DT we have been starting to construct our own castles. We have been learning about the different features of a castle and considering the best materials to use to create them.

In science, we have been learning about the life cycle of a plant. We have been using our outdoor environment to explore the different Trees we have and their features.
