Virtual Tour
Internet Safety & e-Cadets
Our E-Cadets have created another assembly for all pupils across the school, explaining how to defeat the Cyber Monster 'Bi Diphorous'. The E-Cadets learned all about the 'Cyber Monsters' as part of their training with the police and crime commissioner's online team. Each Cyber Monster represents an online danger.
'Bi-Diphorous' represents the danger that people may not be who they say they are online. Our E-Cadets' assembly explains that you should never speak to anyone you do not know online, nor should you give out any personal information about yourself.
Remember, if in doubt: Zip it, Block it, Flag it. You can view their assembly below

E-Cadets Update
Well done to all of our E-Cadets who completed their 'Cyber Ambassador' Training with the Police and Crime Commissioner's Office this week.
We learned all about keeping safe online. Marcia introduced us to the different 'Cyber Monsters' that represent a different element of online safety. For example, the character 'Selphire' highlights to us the dangers of posting selfies online. The E-Cadets will be teaching the other children about the different characters over the school year and how to stay safe online!

We are all very excited about this opportunity - watch this space!
Monday 3rd February 2020
Thank you to our e-cadets who presented an assembly on Monday 3rd February 2020 on 'Digital Footprints' . We learned about online posts and how they can often be public, and that we can leave a trail online! We talked about how to keep our personal information private when using the internet.
Please see the attached PDF so that you can support your child with online safety at home. The website thinkuknow.co.uk has lots of fun resources and games that can be played online, to help your child learn how to keep safe when using technology.
Monday 25th November 2019
A big thank you to all our E-Cadets who led our assembly on Monday 25th November.
For this half term's assembly, we looked at PEGI ratings, discussing what these were and how the ratings protect us from inappropriate content. We learned how we can look for the PEGI rating on our games and apps before buying, and explored which games were suitable and unsuitable for our age groups.
Please see the attached PDF so that you can support your child with online safety at home.
Keeping safe online
Always be careful when you are using the internet. It can help you to keep in touch with your friends and help your education – but it can also cause harm – to you and to others.
Remember help is always available at school if you are having any problems online.
Don’t be afraid to talk to your teacher or another adult at school.

Tips for staying safe online:
Make sure you keep new online friends strictly online. If someone you don't know asks to be your online friend you must ensure an adult knows about it.
Know how to use the CEOP Button and how to report it to the CEOP Centre if you are concerned about someone’s online behaviour towards you.
