We participate annually in the Walk to School Week initiative. Join over a million pupils and their families to celebrate walking to school in an attempt to lead healthier lives and cut down on traffic pollution.
At Our Lady and St Joseph Catholic Primary School we encourage children to walk to school for fitness and to help save the planet. We have a bike shelter to keep bikes safe and children can get a bike pass so they can cycle to school.
We are working towards our Bronze Eco Schools Award. We are developing an action plan and an Eco Code.
Our Eco-Schools journey

5. Linking to the curriculum
6. Monitoring and evaluation
There are nine topics to choose from and energy is now a compulsory topic. The Eco Force team have chosen to focus on Energy, School Grounds and Waste.
